What is said about us?

I was totally blown away by how two or three men could come into this small shop and organize almost 52 years of machines, equipment and tooling which was crammed into every available corner of this shop. To me it seemed like an impossible task, yet for Bill, Danny and Eric, it was a breeze.

Bill kept me informed and up-to-date with all the procedures. Danny was simply sweet and very obliging. Eric was very professional and totally immersed in his job. He is a perfectionist! I feel that all three had my interest at heart and did the best they could for me!

Martha Stewart could learn from these men! I know I did! When I first saw all the tooling that was pulled out of the cabinets and drawers, I could not see how anyone could make heads or tails out of it. Each day showed new progress and by the time of inspection the men were ready. Bill arranged for the necessary people to come in and remove equipment and scrap that had not sold.

My shop is empty. I would very highly recommend QCA to any of my buddy shops when the time comes for them to throw in the towel. Thank you to the guys who worked so hard to make this happen for me.

Removal Quaker City’s rigger was careful and efficient. No Mistakes or Mishaps. I would not hesitate to recommend Quaker City to others. The auction was “well done”.

Bill, Frank and Danny did a great job cleaning the equipment and preparing for an auction! They worked very fast, with confidence, and arranged all items to show the best features. They made a shop floor clean, and the items were able to be viewed clearly. Shipping of all sold items was done very fast and removal of all excessive wiring was done.

The result of running the auction met my request of a totally empty facility and I’d like to thank Eric & Cindy as well, who did the advertising and ran the auction.

We at Vitols Tool & Machine Corporation are extremely delighted to recommend Quaker City Auctioneers for any liquidation, appraisal, and/or selling of equipment that you need.
Vitols was a second generation, family run business for 60 years and the decision to liquidate was not an easy one, but choosing QCA turned out to be a good one.  Eric is knowledgeable of the Machine Shop Business and his staff, (Bill, Frank, and Scott) did a great job of preparing the machinery, organizing, and cataloging all the tooling, even the office supplies and furniture.
We were very pleased with the Auction, did better than expected, and we highly recommend Quaker City Auctioneers.

After attending auctions of Quaker City Auctioneers for over 45 years, Arco Sales Co. was faced with a lost lease and corporate restructuring in a tight 5-wk timeframe. Eric Merback promptly assessed our situation and committed to this timeframe.
Interrupting their other projects, Eric, Cindy, Bill and his crew set up our project in short order and processed a smooth, timely and successful auction. All members of QCA were professional, competent, knowledgeable and efficient. I have already and will continue to recommend their firm with no reservations.

When we made the decision to auction our tools and equipment at Valley Precision, there was nowhere else to turn, except to Eric and his team at QCA. Over the last 20 years, I used the QCA team to appraise equipment for several acquisitions and they were very professional and accurate.

Eric and his team handled every aspect of our equipment sale at Valley. He delivered a higher result then we all expected and worked hard with all the riggers and buyers to remove everything from our building. We were able to complete the auction on time and deliver the building to its new owner.

I would highly recommend QCA for your project.

STAFF:  Eric and his staff (Bill, Frank and Scott) were excellent in preparing and setting up our shop for the auction. They were easy to work with, checking with us before making decisions, asking for our suggestions and taking them into consideration. They were hard workers, honest, polite and had a good sense of humor.

SET-UP/REMOVAL:  The set up was well organized due to the staff’s experience and hard work. They were considerate of our input. Their additional cleaning of the machines made for a great appearance for the auction.  They were attentive to detail and very much were in control of the inspection day. The removal went smoothly with good control over payment and the release of items that was well supervised and aided by the staff. All sold items were removed was from our 35,000 sq. ft. shop in 2 weeks. Our experience with QCA was enjoyable and the outcome exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend them.

Bill and Frank organized the place in ways I wouldn’t have thought of.  There is a way to set up for an auction and they are very good at it.

The staff was very experienced and really knew their stuff for set-up and removal. Riggers came in and cleaned the place out, which was the main goal.

The auction did better than I expected. Eric is a very good auctioneer and knew the machine shop business!  Thank you so much for helping me to retirement! Good luck to all and your families.

The staff was knowledgeable and kept me informed thru the whole process.  The set-up and removal was handled well.

I was extremely pleased with the auction from start to finish.  The results far exceeded my expectations.

On behalf of Steve and myself we wanted to thank you for your handling of our equipment auction held this past September 2018. Closing our foundry after so many years of operation was an extremely difficult process for us. However, you and your people made it bearable. We found you, Bill and Frank to be totally professional and very courteous of us and our employees; understanding the difficulty of our situation.

We were most impressed by the staging of the equipment and supplies for the auction; paying attention to not only the largest items, but the smallest as well. In addition, your being the contact between the prospective buyers, riggers and us reduced our stress level substantially.

The decision to sell a fourth generation, family owned business and liquidate it’s assets is a very difficult one. As a machine shop of over 115k square feet, that has been in the same location for over 55 years, we had accumulated a lot of equipment that needed to be moved.Selling these assets and moving them out of the building was not something that we could have accomplished without outside help. We employed the services of Quaker City Auctions to handle the task of moving over 3500 lots of machines, tools, and support equipment out of the building, and we could not have been happier with the final results. Not only was the job handled professionally, the team from QCA was extremely easy to work with. They handled all aspects of the project, and left the building ready for the next owners. The team of Eric, Bill, Frank, and of course Cindy and her office staff made the daunting task easy for our company. All aspects from sorting, cataloging, the auction, and co-ordinating riggers was handled by QCA, and in a very efficient manner.

With the auction complete and the equipment moved, we can look back on our decision to work with QCA as a very good one. I can safely say that we made the right decision, and would highly recommend this company to anyone who is faced with such a difficult task.

I am a private buyer and have been purchasing tools from Quaker City Auctions for several years now and it has been an absolute pleasure. Working with Bill, Eric & Frank in the field, Cindy and others in the office without any issues the entire time, the staff is impressive. The auctions they set up are professional and fair for both the buyer and seller. I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for making this experience for me both profitable and enjoyable, thank you and God Bless.

I wanted to thank you and the staff at Quaker City Auctioneers for an outstanding job on the Icon Identity Solutions auction. The results of the sale were fantastic. The return exceeded budget by 50%! Your team was very organized and professional and the equipment was presented well for the sale. Marketing efforts paid off in great attendance, despite more than a foot of snow the night before the auction. I would strongly recommend QCA to anyone considering a sale. Thank you again!

I’m pleased that we partnered with QCA. Their experience in handling the auction process and familiarity with the local area proved to eliminate any apprehension awarding the project. Their experience and professionalism was evident and resulted in a successful auction. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Eric and Quaker City Auctioneers and would certainly keep them in mind for future opportunities.

…The rumors are everywhere—this is not the time to have an auction as prices are so low, etc., etc. You convinced me that it is the age of the machinery that counts. Most of out machines are in great condition… I took your advice and your men went to work shining up the machines… for the ‘Big Day.’ I would like to thank your staff for a great presentation… very professional, and of course the bottom line was better than I expected. To sum it up, it was a great day and you called it.

With all the remembering being done about September 11, 2001, I can’t help but think about our first auction. I had come to you with my first Trustee auction, a metal fabricator in South Jersey. It was a national-level auction, and, as luck would have it, we scheduled it for 2 weeks after September 11. By the time we all stopped reeling from the shock, you and I were faced with a discussion about what to do since there was the possibility that the “right” people may not get on a plane to attend this auction. I feel like that was the first time that we faced a tough decision together and worked through it. I trusted your instinct to go forward as planned and the auction was successful beyond our expectation. Since then I have come to consider you one of my most trusted resources in my Trustee practice. You constantly give me invaluable, reliable advice as to values, methods of liquidation and industry norms in the most esoteric of situations. I can count that you will do whatever it takes to maximize the value for me and the constituents to whom I answer.

We had the pleasure of working with Quaker City Auctioneers for the liquidation of our Patriotic Ventures steel fabrication and machine shop equipment. They made the whole process professional and stress-free. From start to finish there were no issues and everything was handled in a first class manor. They did what they said they would do, and they did it when they said they would do it. We happily recommend Quaker City and their organization should you need their services. They make it easy!

I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your help in auctioning my company’s equipment and materials. From the very beginning I feel you were honest in your assessment of the worth of what we had. You explained to me how you would handle everything that had to be done and spelled it out in your contract. You were reasonable about any changes that needed to be made. The auction went off on schedule and was handled from beginning to end in a professional matter. When all was said and done it was very successful. I feel you were the reason for this. I would like to thank you for all your help. I would recommend your company to anyone who is in the situation they need a company like yours.

I just wanted to let you know that I was very impressed on the way you conduct your auctions. I have been to many auctions in my lifetime and I have to say you are the most organized one yet. I just wanted to let you know what I thought of your company.

Eric, I wanted to thank you and your whole crew for what you did for us recently. I called you on a Friday and told you my situation and you came up to Reading and met me on a Saturday morning. Having never been through something such as this, there were a few anxious moments but the bottom line was that we came out ahead of what I expected. You continued this performance after the auction with assisting on getting the items correctly and safely removed from the facility. I thank you from the bottom of my heart and while I hope to never need your service again, should I ever find myself in this situation again, you will be my first call.

I’ve been coming to Quaker City Auctioneers’ auctions for about a decade. This is truly a class act organization. They treat their customers with integrity and respect. Eric and Brandt are true professionals and make sure the auction process goes smoothly. When it comes to setting up an auction, Bill is one of the best in the business, always ready to answer any question and assist in any way necessary. The back office staff is always helpful and polite.

Eric, I just wanted to take a minute to thank you for a fantastic job with the Casale Industries auction. I have to tell you, everything you did exceeded my expectations. Not only that, but from the first time we sat down, I was shocked at your knowledge of each and every one of my machines. I had other auction companies in here and each one was in and out of my facility within an hour, but you came in and spent nearly 6 hours out in the shop going over every detail and every piece of machinery and equipment we had out there. I also want to mention what a thorough job Bill, along with the rest of the boys, did in all the prep work leading up to the auction. You guys really know what you’re doing and I couldn’t be happier with my choice of choosing Quaker City.

After having close to a twenty year small business partnership, my business associate and myself decided to liquidate the assets of our company and go in a new direction. After speaking with multiple dealers and auctioneers over the phone, only Eric Merback, the President and Owner of Quaker City Auctioneers, was willing to come to our facility and inspect all our assets before offering a proposal of any kind. Being intimately involved in every aspect of the building of our business, this was important to us. Upon inspection of all the contents in our facility, Eric quickly helped us assess what was needed for a successful liquidation and he was able to put a schedule into motion that benefited all involved. Once we agreed upon terms, his experienced staff made a complete written, pictorial and video inventory of all the items to be sold. They arranged the various lots throughout our building in an organized way which they felt would bring the best prices. In the process of doing so areas vacated where broom swept and loose debris were disposed of. During the entire process, Eric and his staff kept in close contact with us and were readily available to handle any questions or concerns that came up. Auction day went very well with a nice group of enthusiastic buyers in person and online bidding for our assets. All that was required of me was to answer questions regarding some technical and historical aspects of our equipment during the inspection period of the auction. Across the board this was a painless success and we are very happy with our decision to work with QCA. We would like to thank Quaker City Auctioneers professional efforts and would recommend their services to anyone who may inquire. Eric and staff, your personal yet professional touch and swift action was greatly appreciated.

The purpose of this letter is to introduce and recommend Mr. Eric Merback and his company Quaker City. In 2015 we decided to close our structural steel fabrication comany after 50+ years of operation. After meeting and discussing our plans with Eric we decided that he was the right man for this job. He was articulate in answering all of our questions and concerns and provided a turnkey process that worked perfectly for our needs. From the day we signed our agreement Eric took care of every detail of marketing and preparing our equipment for sale. After the sale he expedited the removal, loading and shipping of everything in our plant. Eric and Quaker City provided exemplary service to our company. They are competitive, dependable and cooperative and we give them our highest recommendation.

After 30 years in business I made the decision to close down and liquidate the assets of my company. I contacted QCA and met with Eric Merback. After meeting with Eric, I was very pleased with his knowledge and expertise. I had them to do the auction and it was a smooth transition from beginning to end. I would highly recommend QCA for any auction requirements.
